In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, players should do anything they can to avoid making these mistakes.
The latest part of Nintendo’s long-running RPG series The Legend of Zelda has finally been released, and fans can’t wait to see what’s new in Hyrule. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has a lot to live up to. It’s the follow-up to the very popular The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Tears of the Kingdom, like its predecessor, puts a lot of focus on letting players explore on their own. Even though this is probably one of the best things about the game, along with the fact that it has a lot of different ways to play, it can be scary for younger and less experienced players. There are a lot of tips from pros, but here are some things that players should avoid.
Not Making The Most Of The Tutorial

In Tears of the Kingdom, players start out on a small, sheltered sky island where they play a level that is similar to an introduction. Most of the time, though, it’s up to the player to figure out what to do because the game doesn’t give many clear instructions. So, it can be hard to get the most out of this lesson, but there are a few important things to remember.
This starting island is set up so that it is best to go around it in the opposite direction of the clock. Some places might make players want to leave and come back later, but every puzzle can be solved with the tools they already have. It’s also a good idea to kill every enemy on this island because the supplies they drop will be important.
Ignoring Environmental Anomalies

Like in Breath of the Wild, the nature is an important part of Tears of the Kingdom. So, Link needs to pay close attention to what’s going on around him and be attentive. Players will need to pay attention to Hyrule’s scenery to figure out what’s normal for the area and what’s not.
Strange things in the environment can mean different things in the game. Most of the time, it will be the key to many of the game’s tasks. Most things that are lying around have a reason for being there, so take note of everything in the area. The same is true of enemies, as there are often ways to get past them without fighting.
Neglecting The Koroks

Puzzles and threats aren’t the only things that need a sharp eye. Koroks do too. Koroks have the same job in Breath of the Wild as they did in Twilight Princess. They can be found hidden around the map. If the player solves a small environmental problem, the Korok will come out and give the player a Korok seed.
Korok seeds are important to the game because they can be used to give players more places to store weapons. In the same way as in Breath of the Wild, players can do this by trading Korok seeds with Hestu. Finding as many Korok seeds as possible is important because having a lot of tools will make things a lot easier for players.
Not Using Recipes

One of the hardest things about cooking in Breath of the Wild was how much players had to rely on their memories of what worked. The recipe method in Tears of the Kingdom, on the other hand, gets rid of this problem.
On the inventory screen, when a player is choosing items to cook, they can use the “select for recipe” button to see what they’ve already made with that ingredient. On the recipe screen, players can see the numbers and ingredients used for everything they’ve made, making it a useful tool.
Discarding Items Too Quickly

One of the new ways to play that Tears of the Kingdom adds is the ability to combine things to make structures and weapons that are very complicated. With this power, players can make just about anything they want. But it also means that players will have to plan how they use their resources.
With the new fuse system, even things that seem useless can be used to solve puzzles or make weapons better. This means that people should try to get as much as they can and be careful about what they throw away or sell. Make sure you don’t need something before you throw it away.
Leaving Crates & Barrels Intact

If there’s one thing that’s always the same in The Legend of Zelda, it’s the number of things that Link can break. Players who have played many games will remember when they could roll through pots and chop through boxes. Even though destroying things is a lot of fun, it is also one of the best ways to get one of the most important supplies in Tears of the Kingdom.
Players should never leave a box or barrel alone because that’s where arrows are often easiest to find. Since players can now combine items, arrows are one of the best tools they can have. Instead of spending valuable rupees on them, players should smash crates and buckets to get them for free.
Expecting Elemental Weapons

In The Legend of Zelda, elements have always been important, and in Breath of the Wild, they were used to make weapons. Elemental weapons were useful for many things because they had fire, ice, or electricity in them. But Tears of the Kingdom has none of these kinds of weapons. Instead, it uses weapons that have been joined together.
Thanks to the fused weaponry feature, you can still make elemental weapons. Chuchu jelly is one of the best ways to do this. Each colour of Chuchu jelly represents a different element, and when it’s connected to a weapon, it gives it the elemental power of that colour. Players can even change the kinds of Chuchu jelly they have so they always have enough of each.
Being Afraid To Progress

Breath of the Wild was one of the best open-world games Nintendo has ever made, and Tears of the Kingdom is even better. In Drift Boss game, the familiar map has been made more three-dimensional by adding the sky islands and a huge, dark underground below. With such a big new world to discover, it’s easy to want to take things slowly.
But this could be bad for the experience of the players. Some of the most important game mechanics and abilities can’t be used until you reach key parts in the game’s overall story. When players hesitate in the story, they end up missing out on the interesting and unique parts of the game.
Neglecting The Depths

The underground world of the Depths is a new part of the series. It adds a huge new area to the map for players to explore. This underground can be reached through Chasms, which are holes in the surface world that are marked with red Gloom. Even though this underground is scary, you need to explore these Chasms every chance you get.
You can jump down and speed into the darkness below to get into chasms. Gliding is a safe way for players to get to the ground. Each Chasm will lead players to a Lightroot, which will help them see that part of the map. Since it’s hard to get into the Depths without these Lightroots, players should use them whenever they can.
Staying Grounded

In Tears of the Kingdom, players can also go to the Sky, as well as the Depths and the Surface. The Sky is made up of land masses called Sky Islands that move above the map. Even though there is a lot to discover on the Surface and in the Depths, there is just as much to discover in the Sky.
Players can get to the Sky by teleporting to Shrines, gliding from a Skyview Tower, using the Travel Medallion, or riding an item using the recall skill. By exploring the Sky Islands, players will be able to get a bird’s-eye view of the Surface map and mark structures and other places of interest. It’s also a key place to find Zonai devices, which are very important in battle and problem solving. So, players should use this high position to their advantage.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available on Nintendo Switch.
